Now, here is an interesting coin, to say the least. It is not actually a coin, but a poker chip. It was given to me by Captain Wayne Stratton, Commander of D Co--the company responsible for Security and Force Protection, during our last tour. The front of the coin shows D Co's icon which is a Soldier with an M-4 ready to engage the enemy. There is a 4th Infantry Division patch. the words "4IDPSD" and "PROTECTIVE SERVICES DETAIL" appear here, as well. On the back are the words "SPEAR" "SHIELD" "SENTRY" which reflect the different elements of responsibility under D Co and the words "OPERATION NEW DAWN." Also there are the Captain's rank insignia and the crossed pistols of the Military Police.
An account of the various and many adventures of my life. Some of it will be past adventures, while other parts have yet to be written because I have yet to have those adventures. But rest assured, my life is ALWAYS an adventure. In fact, I make it a point to have at least one adventure per 24 hours... .
